Will I meet tricky woo?
Yes, its important that we both know and understand each other. We will arrange a free face-to-face initial consultation in order to understand your pets needs. This will also give you the chance to get to know us, and ask any questions you might have and find out how things work.
When are you available to care for my pet?
We work Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm. Weekend bookings may be available for regular clients upon discussion.
Do you do pet care out of these hours?
This may be arranged, but please call us to discuss.
I only require occasional care for my pet, not every week or every day, can you help?
Yes. We are happy to provide services as and when you require, assuming we have diary availability. We recommend that you give as much notice as possible.
Do you offer your services on the weekends and bank holidays?
This may be offered for regular clients, however this may impact the price structure, please contact us to discuss further.

Do I need to be home when you pick up my dog or come to care for my pet?
Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with Tricky Woo to enable us to enter your home or collect and drop off your dog when you are not home. We are fully DBS checked, which is not a legal requirement, but we want you to be comfortable with us having the keys to your house.
What do I do if I need to cancel?
Please contact us by email or telephone giving at least 24 hours’ notice, otherwise charges will apply.
What do you do in case of an emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. In the original consultation, we ensure that we have all the emergency contact details. If veterinary assistance is needed, we will take your pet to your named vet or, depending on the circumstances, to the nearest possible one.
My pet has not been spayed or neutered, can he/she still be walked or cared for?
This can be discussed in the initial consultation, each pet will be considered separately but we reserve the right to refuse any pet.
Do your services cater for all breeds?
We take each pet on its own merit and not on reputation of particular breeds. We meet all pets before we care for them and each new pet is subject to a trial period. Any instances of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse to care for any pet.
How many dogs can you walk at any one time?
We believe dogs have more fun if they can play and interact with other dogs. Groups are kept small with up to a maximum of 4 dogs. Groups are carefully selected with breed, age, sex and personality in mind and can be discussed with the owner beforehand.
Do you walk dogs off the lead?
We will only let your dog off the lead once we have got to know the dog and have written consent to do so. If your dog is not so good on their recall we prefer to keep them on a long lead and let them run and play in safety.
Do you arrange picking up and dropping off for walking dogs?
We collect your dog from your home/place of work at an agreed time and then return them after their walk. For group walks you may need to fit into the schedule for collecting and dropping off dogs which means your dog will be out longer than 30/60 minutes, but they will always be exercised for the agreed period of time.
Will my dog be supervised whilst walking at all times?
Yes. Your dog will be under constant supervision by us.
Where do you walk?
If you have a preferred place your dog likes to walk we will try to accommodate this. Otherwise, we will cater to your dog’s needs in a safe environment.
I don’t want my dog allowed off the lead but I am happy for them to walk with other dogs off the lead, is this possible?
This is possible, but we would prefer an extendable lead to be provided to allow your dog as much freedom as possible with the other dogs. This also avoids your dog feeling restricted and therefore lessens any tension between dogs.
Do you take dogs in season?
Yes Tricky Woo does take a Dog in season, and will walk in our Secure Field.
What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog?
We carefully select which dogs will walk together, if we find an imbalance within the group we will switch accordingly and inform you of the decision. We want your dog to enjoy their walk.
My dog can be aggressive with other dogs and has to wear a muzzle, can you still walk him?
We prefer not to walk aggressive Dogs and it would only be one to one as most our clients dogs are young or quiet in temperament.
My dog can be aggressive with people and has to wear a muzzle, can you still walk him?
No. It is Tricky Woos’ policy not to deal with dogs that are known to be aggressive to people.
We just got a puppy and we both work, what services do you provide for a puppy?
